As you start your journey, the Antalya Aquarium welcomes you with four thematic aquariums:  the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, the Pacific Ocean, and the Atlantic Ocean. Within these four themes, you will be introduced to the culture, geography, and variety of species in different parts of the world. Among the different species of fish you’ll see throughout the exhibit, you will also get a glimpse of living corals, eels, stingrays, seahorses, octopuses, and sharks. Every exhibit offered has wonderful descriptions, hands on activities for the little ones to touch and feel, and there are benches all around to sit and rest or enjoy the views, as well as ramps for wheelchairs and strollers.

The Antalya aquarium also features several other exhibitions for an additional price.  At the Wild Park Exhibit you will experience the rainforest ecosystems and many of the species that belong to it, including a variety of birds, the world’s most venomous snakes, spiders, frogs, lizards, chameleons, scorpions and crocodiles.  The Snow World and Ice Museum has real snow and ice sculptures, including St. Nicks’ House (don’t worry, they have thick jackets).  Face2Face is a wax museum featuring over 50 celebrity wax sculptures.  VR 320 offers a virtual reality carpet ride.  And the XD Cinema offers a 3D submarine trip through the ocean.

It’s worth noting that the aquarium is quite expensive.  Many who visit say that it’s a great experience, but perhaps not worth the steep price, particularly when compared to the experience of other aquariums.  That being said, if you or your family loves marine life or you just need to escape the heat for a few hours, the Antalya Aquarium is waiting for you!
