Konyaaltı Promenade

If you’re looking for a place to spend the afternoon soaking in the Antalya sun, beautiful weather, and picturesque views, the newly renovated Konyaaltı Promenade, or Beach Park, is tough to beat. From food and drink to numerous outdoor activities, the promenade offers a variety of ways to pass an afternoon with family or friends, get some exercise, or even just step away for some “me time.”

The most prominent feature of the promenade area is the green space. You’ll find plenty of grassy spots in the shade (or sun if you prefer) where you can throw down a blanket. With numerous playgrounds for kids of varying ages, the promenade is a perfect spot for a picnic with family or friends. But if you don’t have kids in tow, there’s also plenty of space to plop down with a good book or even take a nap.

Love staying fit? From a running and bike trail to tennis and basketball courts to a ropes course, the area was created to be a hub for outdoor exercise enthusiasts. On vacation without your bike? No problem. There are bikes or scooters for rent at various points along the promenade. And when you’re done with your workout, walk straight off the promenade onto the beach for a refreshing dip in the Mediterranean Sea to cool off.

There are also groups (some are free/open groups) that meet regularly at the promenade for various forms of exercise from yoga to marathon training. Check out #2ksporsokakta on Instagram to find out more about one of the groups that meets frequently.

Not feeling like packing a picnic? The promenade area features over 30 restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and dessert options. So whether you come at breakfast, lunch, dinner, or anywhere in between, the promenade will have something to satisfy your tastebuds or quench your thirst.

Situated in near the heart of the city, Konyaaltı Promenade can be reached easily from any part of town. If you’re staying in Kaleiçi, you can take the old tram to where it ends (about a 20 minute ride depending on which stop outside Kaleiçi you board the tram at) and then you’re only a five minute walk from the promenade. A very popular stretch of Konyaaltı beach also runs right along the promenade if you are interested in a swim.
